Indian Cloud computing threatened by policy- Report

Good cloud computing companies ensures more security of the data center of the business, which eventually lead to safer environment for business.

Policy seems to be a problem with India, the second largest software manufacturer in the world next only to US. A report by Business Software Alliance, which represents US industry heavy weights such as Microsoft Corp, slammed the policies of the country that might threaten the future of cloud computing. This is really `Bad news’ for the developers and the service providers. Security is utmost concern in Cloud Computing, where techies from various wings of an organization work together on a global platform irrespective of their location.

The survey conducted on 24 countries, representing 80 percent of the global information and communications technology industry. They were scored in seven areas, which also included intellectual property protection, infrastructure and support for industry-led standards to promote smooth data flows.

While Brazil was the worst hit with earning only 35.1 points out of a possible 100 because of its policies in areas such free trade, security, data privacy and cybercrime, finished last in the survey.  India earned just 50.0 and finished in the last six. Japan was ranked highest with 83.3 points. It was followed closely by other developed countries including Australia, Germany, the United States, France, Italy, the United Kingdom and South Korea, which all scored in the high 70s.  (With inputs from internet: AarKay)
