In a press meet, CEO of Bharti Airtel, Sanjay Kapoor has said that their company is all set to launch 4G services in Bangalore within a month. So this summer is going to be something exciting to all Bangaloreans and people may escape to this IT capital this summer not to just beat heat but to even enjoy 4G services.
The union telecom minister, Kapil Sibal has launched country’s first 4G services in Kolkata on Tuesday. It may be noted that Airtel is the only service provider that has won the licence in four circles for offering broadband wireless access (BWA).
These four circles include Kolkata, Karnataka, Punjab and Maharashtra (Mumbai not included). Addressing the press conference here in Kolkata, Kapil Sibal has said that a lot of measures have to be taken in order to ensure that broadband devices are available for cheaper prices. (Phani)
