The richest man in China, Jack Ma, who is the founder and chairman of Chinese ecommerce giant Alibaba met Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi on Monday. During their conversation Jack Ma explained how best Alibaba can empower the small businesses in India through the gateway of e-commerce (Internet).

This is Ma’s second visit to India in just about four months. He wants to expand his firm presence in India. Last time in November 2014, he could not meet Modi – but this time he had a good time with Indian Premier.

"Over the next three years, one of the key strategies for Alibaba is to globalise and to make sure that we can help more small businesses around the globe, use our services to do businesses," Ma had said at a business event in Delhi.
Modi has shared his view after meeting with the e-commerce tycoon with a tweet saying, "Had a very good meeting with Jack Ma."

"Jack meets Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to discuss how Alibaba can help empower small businesses in India," Alibaba Group separately tweeted.

The Hangzhou-based Alibaba’s founder Jack Ma is holding a fortune of about $24.4 billion, and his firm is the world's largest online and mobile commerce company by GMV (gross merchandise value) in 2013 (as per the research firm IDC report).

Indian government is planning to bring new laws related to e-commerce sites and platforms for ensuring quality and to raise the income to the government. Online retailer and online advertising has ample of opportunities in India as the Internet and social media connectivity is growing.
