IndiGo has registered the biggest-ever aircraft order in the history of commercial aviation. IndiGo is trying to maintain its hold after the entry of the TATA group. In India IndiGo has a hold of 57.5% domestic share as of April 2023. IndiGo has ordered 500 A320 planes from a French aerospace giant, which are to be delivered between 2030 and 2035. This deal is not only the biggest deal in Indian history, but it is also the biggest deal for a single aircraft purchase by any airline.

At a Paris Air Show history is created with a deal of 500 A320 neo family craft. This deal might bring air travel more affordable and can provide efficient air travel. Indigo got the deal at the very best price because of the bulk order. While the agreement stands for $55B as a list price, analysts expect the price to be lesser than quoted. IndiGo ECO Pieter Elbers expressed his happiness and said this deal has created a historic moment for Airbus.
The agreement was signed by Indigo team promoter MD Rahul Bhatia and Airbus brass CEO Guillaume Faury at the Paris Air Show 2023.
