As part of its Christmas offers, Tata Motors has announced a significant price cut of up to Rs 200,000 on select SUV models to boost demand in the sluggish passenger vehicle (PV) market. According to the Federation of Automobile Dealers Associations (FADA) report, this measure aims to address a 3.46% month-on-month decline in passenger vehicle sales in August and a 4.53% decline compared to the same month last year. The discount applies to all models of Tata Motors' popular SUVs, including Harrier, Safari and Nexon, and the amount varies depending on region and dealer. In addition to discounts, customers can also enjoy trade-in bonuses, cash offers and value-added benefits such as extended warranties and free accessories. These offers take place in October and coincide with major festivals such as Diwali to encourage consumers to shop during the important holidays. Stocks have reached very high levels with the number of days in warehouses varying between 70 and 75 days, FADA chief Manish Singhania said, exacerbating the problem. Particle for direct object
As the festive season approaches, several challenges have emerged that may impact vehicle sales, according to a FADA statement. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), India recorded 16% more rainfall than normal in August and is expected to see heavier rains in September, leading to a temporary slowdown in sales and increasing pressure on sellers already managing large inventories.
