Pasta in Tomato Sauce is tasty, mouth-watering dish that is loved by all. This dish has a nice taste and also nice flavor of various seasoning. This dish is prefect on a busy day. The addition of fresh cream gives a nice texture to this pasta. You can pack this dish in your kid’s lunch box and can also serve for weeknight dinner.
Ingredients
- 2 cups boiled fusilli pasta (in a pan, add water and pasta and cook till the pasta is soft)
- 1 cup fresh tomato pulp ( refer the notes below)
- 1 tbsp butter
- 1 tsp finely chopped garlic (lehsun)
- 2 tbsp finely chopped spring onion whites
- 1/2 tsp chili powder
- 2 tbsp tomato ketchup
- Salt to taste
- 1/2 tsp dried mixed herbs
- 2 tbsp fresh cream
- 2 tbsp finely chopped spring onion greens
- For The Topping
- 2 tbsp grated processed cheese
Directions
1. Heat the butter in a broad, non-stick pan, add the garlic and fry on a medium flame for a few seconds.
2. Add the spring onion whites and fry on a medium flame for 1 to 2 minutes and add the fresh tomato pulp, chili powder, tomato ketchup, ½ cup of water, salt, mix it well and cook on a medium flame for 3 to 4 minutes and stir occasionally.
3. Add the fusilli pasta, mixed herbs, fresh cream and spring onion greens, mix it gently and cook on a medium flame for 1 minute.
4. Once done, switch off the flame and transfer it to a bowl and serve it hot.
Notes
- 4 medium tomatoes when blanched in water, peeled, deseeded, chopped and blended will give approx. 1 cup of tomato pulp.
