Virginity isn't a big deal only in the UK or the U.S.A, but U.S.S.R too!

A 24-year-old Russian, who has been desperately trying to lose his virginity since the last three years, recounts his experience as hard and disappointing. No pun-intended!

Alex Stepanov, one of the male contenders in the controversial "Virgins Wanted" auction held last October, apparently signed on with the  enormously publicized online virginity auction to combat his social anxiety that deterred him from attending college and having a normal life.

"The idea of auctioning my virginity is a strange thing and it's very controversial, but I tried to block myself from thinking about it," he told Fairfax Media. "I tried to concentrate on the project and see what it brings me because, at the end of the day, I thought, 'I'm just going to do the thing and when it's going to be too hard, I'm just going to pull out.'"

Stepanov recounts how during the show he was  offered a paltry $2,600 from an Australian woman named "Kasandra Darlinghurst”, who he later discovered was a man.

Whether Stepanov managed to have any encounter will be kept under wraps until the series debuts in Australia next year. The hunt is on for a distributor in the U.S.
