The coronavirus pandemic will leave an unforgettable mark on the humans. The entire world has been battling with the dangerous virus from a year and a half. A new study suggests that humanity has battled with viruses around 20,000 years ago. The genetic evidence says that the ancient humans were exposed to coronavirus about 20,000 years ago as per the study that is published in Current Biology on June 24th. The ancestors of people from Japan, China and Vietnam adopted a fight against the virus. These markers have not been found in any other continents except East Asia. These markers are also distinct and were different from other viruses or diseases.

The study said that people were exposed to coronavirus or a similar virus decades ago. The study was conducted by the University of Arizona Department of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology Australian Centre for Ancient DNA. The study says that the family of viruses emerged around 25,000 years ago. The experts are understanding about the ancient pandemic to treat the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. Four of the researchers are conducting in-depth research on the therapies that are used to treat the virus in the past.
