The new variant of the Omicron named BF.7 brought back the coronavirus scare across the globe. Lakhs of people passed away in China and the virus is spreading on a fast note. Several countries including India alerted the people and the restrictions are back at the borders and in the airports. The Indian government asked the people to use facemasks when they are in public places. The BF.7 variant is known to be quite irritating and is in circulation from the past two years as per the reports from the health experts. There was not much damage caused in the past. As per the analysis from the Scripps Research Institute, the variant is found in 91 countries. The epidemiologists and virologists said that the variant remained 0.5 percent worldwide. A total number of 47,881 patients are tested with the variant as per the reports of February 26th last year.
BF.7 did not contribute much in the past few months though it was present in 22 countries of the globe. The reports said that the virus had limited growth potential. The reports also said that BA.5 variant has low prevalence and it is less than 5 percent in India. There is so much panic now because of the fast spread of the cases in China. The deaths too are said to be huge because of which there is a panic situaion across the globe. The health officials of India are currently monitoring the BF.7 cases in the country that are reported. As of now, there are less number of cases of the variant but there are talks that this would trigger the fourth wave of coronavirus very soon.
