It all started in China and the Covid-19 pandemic shattered all the nations of the globe. Some of the nations are yet to recover completely from coronavirus. China now imposed fresh lockdowns and travel restrictions after the new and highly infectious variant of Covid-19 was traced in the country. The sub-variants of BF.7 and BA.5.1.7 are traced and they are dangerous and infectious. BF.7 (also known as BA.2.75.2) is a sub-lineage of the Covid Omicron variant BA.5.2.1. The variant was detected on October 4th in Yantai and Shaoguan cities. The other sub-variant BA.5.1.7 has been detected in China for the first time recently. The World Health Organization (WHO) warned China to be extra cautious saying that the variants are highly infectious.

The holiday spending during the Golden Week in China reached to the lowest level because of the new curbs and the scare because of the new variants. Travelling has got reduced in the recent weeks in the country. The President Xi Jingping asked the officials and the authorities to be extra cautious and take all the needed precautions before the spread becomes huge. The country is not ready to face one more new wave and head for lockdown. The new coronavirus cases are spiking across China and the local authorities are asked to tighten the controls. Several districts of Shanghai downtown are ordered to close the major entertainment venues like parks, internet cafes and others.
