Mahavir Jayanti is celebrated on the 13th day of Hindu month of Chaitra by the Jain community around the world. It is the most important religious holiday for Jains. It celebrates the birth of Mahavira, twenty fourth and the last Tirthankara (Teaching God) of the present time cycle.
Indo American Foundation of Arizona is organizing an event to celebrate the Mahavir Jayanti in Arizona. Don't miss! The event is scheduled to be held at Ekta Mandir on Saturday, 23 Apr 2016. The program will begin at 10:00 AM and will be continued till 1:00 PM.
According to the organizers, the highlights of the event are Chaitya Vandan, Navkar Maha Mantra, Mangalik, melody of Jains Stavans (songs), Mahavir Swami Parnu, Aarti/ mangal divo and Sadharmic Vatsalya (lunch).
