Police Employee Shot By Her Estranged Husband Day after Filing Divorce

Two Casa Grande Police Employees were hospitalized on Thursday. This incident happened day after divorce filing, one victim’s estranged husband reportedly shot them both and turned the gun to himself.
Robert Price, a Patrol Corporal and Yvette Rodriguez, a police department clerk were shot at 10 a.m on Wednesday when they were on lakeside parkway near Casa Grande Avenue, police said.
Pinal County Court records show that a women has file a divorce against the alleged gunman, 37 years old Juan Pablo Rodriguez-Fregoso. Rodriguez was shot in her upper back, and price suffered severe injuries in his torso and leg said police. They were flown to Phoenix-area hospitals, where they remained.
The relationship between two shooting victims is still not clear, officials are silent regarding what else might have spurred the shooting that left the 80-officer department reeling.
Officer Thomas Anderson said, “she is stable and doing well and he is stable and in good spirits”.
After the shooter Fled away from scene, investigators with the U.S Marshals Service’s Arizona Most Wanted Task Force spotted Rodriguez- Fregoso on the Loop 202 Westbound. The shooter pulled his White Mitsubishi Galant to the side of the freeway east of Dobson Road in Mesa, Where investigators say he fatally shot himself.
No additional details are still released, the police department is investigating about his death and casa Grande Police department is leading the investigation into clear shooting that involved its employees.
