Arizona firefighters are heading to California to battle those massive wildfires that have affected nearly two-dozen lives. These wildfires have destroyed several homes and businesses in California.
The Arizona Department of Forestry deployed 100 engines and around 400 wildland firefighters to California. The first crews are on their way.
Demetri Baca, the engine captain with Arizona Department of Forestry said that “We are going out as a strike of engines; we have 600 gallons of water”.
They’re going into a deadly disaster area, so far more than 500 people are missing. The teams still did not received their official assignment; firefighters are expected to stay in California for more than two weeks.
