Disgraced film director Harvey Weinstein was slapped at a luxury resort in Arizona. A fellow diner at Paradise Valley Resort accosted the Film mogul and it was captured and shown in tabloids. This incident in Elements restaurant at the Sanctuary on Camelback Mountain Resort & Spa in Paradise Valley
Weinstein’s representative Sallie Hofmeister confirmed the incident but did not give any further details. While Harvey was having dinner with his coach at around 9 pm a man at the table right next to him came up for taking a photograph with Harvey. Harvey declined on the same and when he finished his meal the person on the other table came up to him again. Reports also suggested the man asked his fellow friend to take a video while he was going up to Harvey again.
This man was a admirer of Harvey’s films and wanted to get a picture with him, but Harvey became belligerent and shoed him away. To which he got pissed and retaliated in the manner he did.
The video shows, the man named Steve, walked up to Harvey and his coach and said, "You're such a piece of s--- for what you did to these women," and slapping him twice in the face.
Harvey was seen caught off guard and taken aback in the video. Though he left the Hotel and did not call the police to inform about the same. The Paradise Valley Police Department told they had no reports about the incident and did not get any call from Harvey or the Resort. Lt Michael Cole from the police department said, “ no report has been filed but that Paradise Valley police would pursue an investigation if there were a cooperative victim”.
A statement from the resort stated "Our guests’ privacy is paramount at Sanctuary on Camelback Mountain Resort & Spa. Therefore, we are unable to provide a comment,"
More than 60 women from US and UK have charged Harvey of sexual assault and misconduct in the last few months. Though Harvey has denied all these allegations of non-consensual sex.
