Khan—this surname is what troubles Bollywood’s Badshah whenever he steps his foot on foreign land, according to many sources, because of which he was detained twice at airport within two years. Not just Shahrukh, but the case is the same with anyone with that title stresses Irrfan Khan. But, wait …before you jump to a conclusion, there’s something contradictory to note as Bollywood’s successful hero has something to negate.

Unlike Shahrukh Khan and Irfran Khan, Aamir Khan was never detained at any international airport. As soon as the news was in air about Shahrukh’s detention, media plunged into the action to unveil more information and to one of the questions that reporters asked Aamir Khan, the actor replied: “I was never detained.”

But, Irfan Khan says that the moment one crosses immigration, they look at the passport and asks for the purpose of visit and suddenly detains.  Irfan Khan has empathized with Shahrukh Khan and said how bad the situation can be.

It may be recalled that Bollywood’s big star, Shahrukh, who has large fan base across the country was detailed at an airport in New York yesterday when he visited the United States to address the students at Yale University. The Government of India came down heavily on this.

Why is it that Aamir Khan was not detained if only title was the only reason behind the detention. In fact there might be n number of Indian nationals with that title who arrive at US and are all facing the same problems? People, who don’t seem to be happy with the extra interest shown by our government in this matter, are posting comments on websites such as “Shahrukh is no hero outside India.”
