Ingredients
1. Cabbage: 1 kg chopped
2. Tomatoes: 3 diced
3. Pas phoron: 1 teaspoon
4. Sambar masala: 2 teaspoons
5. Turmeric: ½ teaspoon
6. Red chilli powder: ½ teaspoon
7. Salt: 1 teaspoon
Method
1. Dry roast the pas phoron for about 1 minute
2. Add the masalas along with about 100ml water. Don’t worry about the exactness of this measure. A splash or so is enough. The idea is to stop the masalas from sticking.
3. Add the tomatoes and fry everything for about 5 minutes and add the cabbage.
4. Cook on a high flame for 5 minutes and then covered on simmer for another 5 minutes.
5. Remove the lid and cook on a high flame till the water dries out.
