Do you ever imagine to eat your nail polish? Here is something interesting! US fast food chain Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) launched "finger lickin' good" edible nail polishes in this week.
The KFC along with marketing giant Ogilvy & Mather has launched edible nail polish for customers in Hong Kong. The nail polish comes in two flavors, “original” and “hot & spicy,” and two colors beige and bright orange.
According to the company, the polish is sourced from natural ingredients. Customers can apply the polish on their nails and lick away after getting dry.
The New York Times reported that, Ogilvy & Mather spokeswoman, Anna Mugglestone said that, “Yes, it is actually a real thing, I tried it myself in the office when they were doing testing.”
“At the moment, we're not mass producing it, we are only giving previews to the media to test the market reaction," KFC spokeswoman said.
"I don't think that eating nail polish is a good idea. I don't think it's elegant behaviour for women to lick their fingers," said Crystal Zhu, a 27-year-old tourist from mainland China.
"It is an innovative idea." "I have never heard of anything like this before. It will be fun to paint nails with my friends," said the 17 year-old.
