Bollywood has never really shied away from being openly inspired from Hollywood. The latest 'inspire-act' being that of Bollywood's Badshah – Shah Rukh Khan.
Buzz is that Shah Rukh Khan's character in 'Happy New Year' will bear strong affinity with Danny Ocean's character, played by George Clooney, in Ocean's Eleven (2001).
While the original and remake of the American comedy-crime was about a heist, Farah Khan's film will be about a bumbling dance troop locked in a competition.
Talking about the similarities of SRK's character in the film with Clooney's, an insider revealed, "He will be very cool with the girls, yet emphatically want to remain single. He will lead the pack, which will comprise of Abhishek Bachchan, Vivaan Shah and Boman Irani. The other guys will follow him, look up to him for directions. Yes, much like Clooney in the Ocean trilogy."
SRK will sport long hair for this role and will play his age.
Apparently, Katrina Kaif is not doing the film, as was rumored a couple of days back. The hunt for the leading lady is on. Apparently, TV star Ankita Lokhande is being considered for the lead role.
The film goes in production in a month's time.
