Selena Gomez's seems to have finally come of her age with her latest album “Stars Dance” that is a far, far cry for all her tween “scenes”.
The popstar, who has, for long, hold on to her cookie-cutter identity, ditched her tweenself to emerge as a mature artist with her latest album.
The opening song of the album, "Birthday," a peppy party track shows how the tween star had blossomed into a mature artist.
The teen diva, who turned 21 on Monday, said her new album — including the smash hit Come and Get It, is unlike anything she’s previously recorded.
“I just wanted to come back with a bang and be confident,” Gomez said.
Gomez's high-profile on and off relationship with teen idol Justin Bieber have been making headlines for all the wrong and right reasons. The confident singer, however, dodges all the hoo-ha and says this album “represents a turning point in both her life and career as she tries to take more control.”
“I have a tendency to always try to please people.” she said, explaining that this is the album where she mad more personal creative choices and sang the songs she liked.
