The ICC 2015 Cricket World Cup is starting from Saturday Modi wished all the SAARC nations like Bangladesh, Pakistan, Afghanistan and Sri Lanka, participating in the mega event World Cup alongside defending champions India.
Modi stated that sports connects the people in the south Asian region and promotes goodwill.
Modi took twitter to wish the entire cricket team of the SAARC nation.
He mentioned that the SAARC nations are excited about the world cup and expressed that this event will celebrate the sportsman spirit and also will be a treat for sports fans alike.
PM also mentioned that he also spoke to the all the SAARC nations and wished them all the best
PM Modi on Thursday wished all the Indian team players individually through twitter.
Indian cricket team vice-captain Virat Kohli thanked Modi for the wishes and expressed that Indian cricket team will give their best.
Indian cricket team player thanked batsman Ajinkya Rahane also thanked Modi and stated through twitter I means a lot for him.
