Call from Mahendra Singh Dhoni to big-hitters in his team for the drastic improvement of run rate against Bangladesh on Wednesday. This call from him is to avoid the probability of exiting early from the World Twenty20 2016 in home land.
India is placed in fourth place in the group following a loss and a win in first two matches. Now, they are desperate for a big win, so that they have increased chances of stepping to semi-final slot.
The hosts have definitely enhanced their confidence after a win over the arch rivals Pakistan on Saturday. This win might have helped India come out of the shock of 47-run defeat to New Zealand in the opener.
Skipper Dhoni said, "I still feel there is still scope for improvement and in the coming two games that will be our priority.”
"In the first game our run rate went down. So it's not only about winning but you have to take care of the run-rate at some point," Dhoni added. New Zealand is on the top of the table with four points, where as India, Australia and Pakistan are with two points each.
India wants to lift the trophy and become first country to win the World T20 title twice, after winning in 2007. This would also become the first win in home for the hosts.
