Virat Kohli, Indian batting star, took Instagram and twitter to lash out people for trolling on Anushka Sharma, Bollywood actress and his former girlfriend, on Monday. He said that all those who are blaming her for negativity in his cricket career should feel shameful for the act.
Last night, Virat single-handedly took India to WT20 semi final 2016 with his brilliant knock of 82 against Australia in the last group match. He hit out at the trolls who blame and make fun of Anushka after every India match.
Kohli wrote, "Shame on those people who have been having a go at anushka for the longest time and connecting every negative thing to her. Shame on those people calling themselves educated."
"Shame on blaming and making fun of her when she has no control over what i do with my sport. If anything she has only motivated and given me more positivity. This was long time coming. Shame on these people that hide and take a dig.
"And i dont need any respect for this post. Have some compassion and respect her. Think of how your sister or girlfriend or wife would feel if someone trolled them and very conveniently rubbished them in public," he added.
Many times earlier, Anushka was trolled in the social media for Virat’s performance. This began notably when the cricketer failed to perform in the ODI World Cup semifinal against Australia in 2015.
