As predicted, Team India reported a clean sweep in the T20 series with West Indies. The last and the final T20 took place last night in Kolkata's Eden Gardens. West Indies won the toss and elected to bowl first. India reported a massive score of 184 for the loss of 5 wickets in their 20 overs. Suryakumar Yadav (65), Venkatesh Iyer (35 not out) and Ishan Kishan (34) are the top scorers for the team and they helped the team to get a remarkable score. Roston Chase (1/23), Jason Holder (1/29) and Hayden Walsh Jr (1/30) bagged the wickets among the West Indies bowlers.
Chasing a huge target, West Indies looked super confident and started the chase on a great note. But the middle order tumbled down badly and the team fell short of the chase by 17 runs. West Indies scored 167 for the loss of 9 wickets in their 20 overs. Nicholas Pooran (61), Romario Shepherd (29) and Rovman Powell (25) have been good among the batsmen of West Indies. Harshan Patel (3/22), Deepak Chahar (2/15) and Venkatesh Iyer (2/23) took the major wickets. With this victory, India won the T20 series by 3-0. Suryakumar Yadav has been named as the Player of the Match and the Player of the Series.
