Sim Bhullar, 7 ft 5 inch Canadian of Indian-descent, is all set become the first player of Indian origin to be a part of NBA team with his Sacramento Kings and New Orleans Pelicans clash early Saturday morning (0730 IST).
Americans are wondering to hear the news as they were habituated to see Indians in Silicon Valley. The Canada-born Sim Bhullar (22), who signed a 10-day contract with the Sacramento Kings on Thursday, wears size 22 shoes and has a wingspan of 8’2”. Kings’ Indian-origin owner Vivek Ranadive brought the Toronto teenager to sunny California. Bhullar will also become the tallest man currently playing in the NBA.
The 22-year-old player actually signed for the Kings in August 2014 and has been playing for their affiliate team Reno Bighorns.
