Indian Professional Boxer Vijender Singh is all set to make his debut in American professional boxing arena on April 12. He is now currently training under Hall of Famer Freddie Roach in Los Angeles.
India promoters, IOS Boxing Promotions in a tweet said, “BIG ANNOUCEMENT Knockout King Vijender Singh is set to make his US debut at the iconic Staples Center which is also the home ground of the LA Lakers. Fight to happen on Friday, April 12.”

The opponent is not yet decided will be announced later. The 33-year-old boxer recently relocated his training base to Los Angles where he is training at the ‘The Wild Card Boxing Club’ under Roach, a 2012 International Boxing Hall of Fame (IBHOF) inductee.

Freddie Roach is one of the best boxing coaches of all time. He has been mentor to 36 world champions including the likes of Mike Tyson, Manny Pacquiao, Miguel Cotto and Oscar de La Hoya.
He has also trained former junior welterweight champion Amir Khan.

Roach believes Singh can became world champion said "I believe Vijender has the talent and the dedication to become a world champion."
He further added, "He has a great amateur background, a style that will give any super middle-weight in the world problems, and power in both hands."
Commenting on this new association, Promoter of IOS Boxing Promotions Neerav Tomar, said "...we hope together with Freddie, Vijender will be able to script history. We at IOS are thrilled the association.”
