The latest Google Pixel lineup, including the Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, and Pixel 9 Pro XL, was unveiled at the tech company's recent Made By Google event. These flagship smartphones are equipped with the new Tensor G4 SoC and the Titan M2 security chip, ensuring top-of-the-line performance and robust security. All three models boast an IP68 rating, making them resistant to water and dust. Users can look forward to seven years of Android OS updates, security patches, and Pixel Drops, guaranteeing long-term software support. The Pixel 9 comes with 12GB of RAM, while the Pixel 9 Pro and Pixel 9 Pro XL offer a generous 16GB of RAM. The standard Pixel 9 features dual rear cameras, while the Pro models flaunt triple rear camera setups. In India, the Pixel 9 is available in a single 12GB RAM + 256GB storage variant, priced at Rs. 79,999, with color options including Peony, Porcelain, Obsidian, and Wintergreen. The Pixel 9 Pro is priced at Rs. 1,09,999 for the 16GB RAM + 256GB storage version, while the Pixel 9 Pro XL costs Rs. 1,24,999 for the same 16GB RAM + 256GB storage configuration. Both Pro models come in Hazel, Porcelain, Rose Quartz, and Obsidian color choices.

The Pixel 9 smartphone, available starting August 22, boasts a dual SIM (nano+eSIM) design and runs on the latest Android 14 operating system, with seven years of software updates, security patches, and feature releases. Its 6.3-inch Actua OLED display offers a vibrant 1,080 x 2,424 pixel resolution, a pixel density of 422ppi, and a dynamic refresh rate ranging from 60Hz to 120Hz. The display is further enhanced by Corning's Gorilla Glass Victus 2, ensuring durability. Powering the device is the Tensor G4 SoC, complemented by the Titan M2 security coprocessor, providing a seamless and secure user experience. The Pixel 9's camera setup consists of a 50-megapixel Octa PD wide-angle lens with an impressive 1/1.31-inch sensor size and up to 8x Super Res Zoom, alongside a 48-megapixel Quad PD ultra wide-angle camera with a 1/2.55-inch sensor. The front-facing camera is a 10.5-megapixel dual PD selfie shooter with autofocus. The camera system is equipped with various AI-powered features, including Magic Eraser, Best Take, Photo Unblur, and Night Sight, enabling users to capture stunning photographs. The Pixel 9 can record 4K videos at 24/30/60 frames per second, and its IP68 water and dust resistance rating ensures durability in various environments. The device also features an in-display fingerprint sensor and face unlock for secure authentication.

The phone is equipped with various sensors, such as a light detector, atmospheric pressure gauge, motion tracker, magnetic field sensor, and proximity sensor. In terms of connectivity, the device offers Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.3, NFC, Google Cast, GPS, dual-band GNSS, support for multiple satellite navigation systems, and a USB Type-C port. The Pixel 9 is equipped with a powerful 4,700mAh battery that supports 45W wired fast charging (sold separately) and Qi-certified wireless charging. This technology allows the battery to reach 55% capacity in just 30 minutes. Furthermore, the device can provide over 24 hours of use on a single charge. With dimensions of 152.8x72.0x8.5mm and a weight of 198 grams, the Pixel 9 is both compact and lightweight. The Pixel 9 Pro and Pixel 9 Pro XL models share the same SIM, software, and chipset as the standard Pixel 9. The Pixel 9 Pro features a stunning 6.3-inch Super Actua (LTPO) OLED display with a resolution of 1280 x 2856, a pixel density of 495ppi, and a variable refresh rate ranging from 1Hz to 120Hz. It can also reach a peak brightness of up to 3,000 nits. The Pixel 9 Pro XL boasts an even larger 6.8-inch SuperActua (LTPO) OLED display with a resolution of 1,344 x 2,992, a pixel density of 486ppi, and a refresh rate of up to 120Hz. Both Pro models are protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2.

The Pixel 9 Pro and Pixel 9 Pro XL boast impressive camera capabilities, with a 30x super-res zoom and 5x optical zoom. For selfies and video calls, they feature a 42-megapixel dual-PD selfie camera with autofocus. The Pro models can record 8K video at 30fps, and both carry an IP68 water and dust resistance rating. Connectivity options and sensors are similar to the standard Pixel 9, but the Pro models add a temperature sensor and an Ultra-Wideband chip. The Pixel 9 Pro has a 4,700mAh battery, while the Pro XL sports a slightly larger 5,060mAh cell. Both support 45W wired fast charging and wireless charging via Qi. The Pixel 9 Pro measures 152.8x72.0x8.5mm and weighs 199 grams, while the Pixel 9 Pro XL is slightly larger at 162.8x76.6x8.5mm and weighs 221 grams.
