BlackBerry is all set to make a comeback with its newly launched Q5. And boy oh boy, what high expectations the makers have set on it. But then, why not, after all BlackBerry's revival rests on this one phone that aims to bring the all too sophisticated and pricey BB 10 software at an affordable price. Not bad!
From the initial looks of it, the Q5 is affordable, light-weight, easy to hold and sturdy. Besides pricing it low, BlackBerry has slogged hard to make the Q5 look unique starting with the keypad. The curvaceous phone now comes with a more-spaced-out keypad.
It's touch-screen bears the same 3.1" square size and come with 720x720 pixel resolution, but BlackBerry has used LCD instead of AMOLED to curb making cost.
The dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processors and 2 GB of memory hardly makes the phone film sluggish.
On the flipside, the 5 Mp camera is a letdown. Not only are the low-light shots noisy, but also mediocre.
All in all. the BlackBerry Q5 seems to be a capable,value-for-money phone.
