Analysis
Jakkanna has a loose plot and the director laced the complete film with entertainment. The first half of the film has been good at parts and Sunil’s character reminds us of his old films. The songs have been decent and they have been well placed. The interval episodes make the film interesting and on the whole the first half of Jakkanna has been decent.
The second half of the film has been filled with number of comedy actors and the entertainment has been forcefully indulged as the movie lacks an interesting plot. The villain has been showcased very powerfully during the first half but his character becomes the joke of the film throughout the second half. The climax has been predictable and on the whole Jakkanna has nothing happening good throughout the second half.
Performance
Sunil who scored massive hits has been struggling for success from some time. He did a decent job with his performance. However the actor needs to work on innovative scripts instead of signing routine films. Mannara Chopra has been designed in her assigned role and she has been gorgeous on screen. The film has a list of comedians who elevated the movie well in their assigned role. All the other actors have been decent.
The story of Jakkanna has been completely outdated and is completely predictable. The screenplay has not been taken care of. The dialogues have been decent and the music has been ok. The background score elevated the film well and the production values have been grand enough. The editing has been ok and the director fails to present the film in an interesting way.
Final Word
Jakkanna lacks interesting plot and engaging narration because of which the film ends up as a huge debacle. Can be ignored.
