Maverick director Ram Gopal Varma has been busy with multiple projects though he has been out from commercial track. He has been making back to back films of all the genres and most of hsi recent movies failed to hit the screens. His last movie Killing Veerappan received cricial acclaim but failed to mint huge money across the country.

He is now teaming up with Vivek Oberoi for the movie Rai which is said to be an action entertainer. RGV revealed the news about the movie and he posted it on his official twitter page:

“Launching my new film "Rai" The Greatest Gangster Ever on May 1st Vivek Oberoi will be playing the title role. Initially "RAI"was planned with Sudeep ..but for various reasons I am going ahead with Vivek. "Rai" will be extensively shot in Mangalore, Banglore, Mumbai, Dubai and London. Mr.Mutthappa Rai agreed to launch the 1st look poster of "RAI" at my request on May 1st which is his birthday. C R Manohar will be producing "RAI"and it's going be made in 4 languages Kannada Hindi Telugu and Tamil. The biggest gangsters Pablo Escobar,Dawood Ibrahim,Al Capone etc are nothing in comparison to the drama of Rai”.
