Superstar Mahesh Babu came up with his latest outing Brahmotsavam recently and the movie aimed family audience during the hot summer season. The movie released last Friday and it received poor reviews and the negative word of mouth had some huge impact on the collections across the Telugu speaking states. The collections dropped drastically right from the first day and Brahmotsavam has been declared as the biggest debacle in Mahesh’s career.

However the situation is completely different in USA and its territories. Though the collections witnessed small dip, Brahmotsavam outperformed and the movie crossed 1 million USD mark in just two and half days. This is the sixth time Mahesh Babu made it to the 1 million USD club and it was Dookudu, Seethamma Vaakitlo Sirimalle Chettu, 1-Nenokkadine, Aagadu and Srimanthudu which crossed 1 million USD in the past.

Sreekanth Addala directed Brahmotsavam and Samantha, Kajal, Praneetha played the female leads. Prasad V Potluri produced the movie on PVP Cinema which has been made on a budget of Rs 75 crores.
