The new variant of coronavirus, Omicron is shaking Tollywood. Big-ticket films are lined up for release in the coming months and now the new variant fears the film industry. The new variant has the potential to spread six times faster than earlier variants. Banglore has two cases and five members who were in contact with them tested positive. All these situations leave the worry of the third wave. Even if the governments are not going for lockdown by considering the losses created by earlier lockdown, film lovers with a kind of fear might stop walking into theatres.
Akhanda has given a boost to the collections and showed the strength of the theatrical business. Pushpa, Radhe Shyam, Shyam Singha Roy and RRR are lined up for releases and worried about the footfall. The third wave surfaces are on and the future of these cinemas is in dilemma. Many movies are lined up like Acharya, Bangarraju, Ghani and so on. If the third wave disturbs the lineup, the future of the movies which are in production stages might also be affected. Tollywood heroes will be ready with the new movies for release, but can only be out in theatres after all movie releases which are waiting to hit screens.
