After delivering a dud like Vinaya Vidheya Rama, Boyapati Srinu was badly criticized. He took his time and returned back with Akhanda, an action-packed mass entertainer that had Nandamuri Balakrishna in the lead role. The film ended up as a massive hit and gave the needed boost for Telugu cinema. Boyapati's direction and Balakrishna's acting are widely appreciated by the audience. Boyapati Srinu met Stylish Star Allu Arjun and narrated a script for the actor. Bunny too was impressed and he is all excited to team up with Boyapati after the release of Akhanda.

With Allu Arjun taking up Pushpa: The Rule, Boyapati Srinu decided to move on with his next film before taking up a project with Allu Arjun. The latest update says that Boyapati Srinu will direct Energetic Star Ram in his next film and it is an action entertainer. Boyapati Srinu met Ram and narrated a script for the actor. The project is now finalized and the pre-production work commenced recently. Miryala Ravindar Reddy who produced Balakrishna's Akhanda will produce the film with Ram. Boyapati Srinu is currently busy with the final script and the shoot commences in summer soon after Ram completes his current film The Warrior.
