KCR threatens to stall LS till T issue is solved

TRS Chief KCR today threatened to continue stalling the business of Lok Sabha till the Centre takes a decision on the issue of Telangana.

Addressing a media conference in Delhi after ensuring that the house was adjourned for the day over the issue of Telangana, KCR described the Centre as a deaf, blind and dumb government. “I would like to know if we have a Prime Minister at all,” he said.

Earlier, KCR and Vijayasanthi, along with congress and TDP members of the T region, stalled the business of the house by raising slogans and demanding the introduction of the T bill in the well of the house. BJP members also supported them in highlighting the T cause.

The house was adjourned twice by the Speaker Meira Kumar who for the third time adjourned it till tomorrow as the din continued over the issue.

“We will not allow the house to function till a favourable decision on formation of Telangana is taken. Let us see who will stop us,” he said.

Urging the Centre, Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh and congress president Sonia Gandhi to respond on the issue of Telangana, KCR warned of unnatural consequences taking place if there is no response on the issue. “It is unfortunate that the Government has not responded so far even after 700 suicides,” he said.

KK lambasts Centre in RS

While TRS, congress and TDP members of the T region created ruckus in the Lok Sabha over the Telangana issue, senior T congress leader K. Keshava Rao lambasted the Centre in the Rajya Sabha over the issue.

“Till now 700 people have committed suicide. How many more do you want to die before you react on the issue,” he asked the Government in the House of Elders.

Observing that the leaders are also ready now for sacrificing their lives for the sake of Telangana, KK said the state of AP has been divided into two mentally long back. “It is atrocious on part of the Centre not to react on the issue so far,” he lamented. (J)
