The AICC in charge of AP affairs, Vayalar Ravi has briefed the media that the party is yet to decide as to who should be contested in the by-polls to 18 assembly constituencies.  Efficient candidates would be selected, he said. Vayalar Ravi, who had a breakfast at Chiru’s residence this morning, stressed that he never discussed with any of the leaders so far on the by-polls.

Ravi making these statements is resulting in wide debates in the state assuming that the discussions on Tuesday would have been on the on going Telangana issues. Notably, Vayalar Ravi yesterday met several ministers and leaders of the Congress from different regions. Vayalar Ravi has also said the issues in the state would soon come to a happy end.

Meanwhile, Chiranjeevi has said that they would plunge into election campaign only after they decide the candidates for by-polls.

While many people in the state are reportedly expressing their displeasure on the chief minister over his by-poll strategy, Chiranjeevi hasn’t come out with any controversial statements that put the party in fix.
We have to wait and see as to how many days Vayalar Ravi will seek the opinions.  (Phani)
