The Tirumala Tirupati Trust (TTD) that has been actively looking into the problems being faced by the devotees is coming out with new plans timely. It is known that TTD that took a giant leap by cancelling the bulk tickets of sevas on the deity and has been allotting them to devotees through lucky dip process.
Now, TTD focus turned towards the allotment of rooms and suits on Tirumala. In a major development, TTD trust board chairman, Kanumuri Bapi Raju has asked the authorities to ensure transparency in the room allotment and available. For the same, he ordered, to update the availability of rooms from time to time on the notice boards. Bapi Raju has carried out searches in Vishnunivasam and Srinivasam. He has enquired the devotees over the facilities that are being offered and whether they were having any grievances. He has also said that the agreement between the AP Tourism and TTD in Srinivasam is going to be expired soon and the department should collect the prices fixed by TTD in future or else the agreement stands cancelled.
Meanwhile, people expressed their happiness over the new initiative. The devotees can now look at the notice board for the availability of rooms. (Phani)
