The CID police, who arrested Bhanu Kiran on Saturday in Medak district, have moved a petition before the Nampally Court seeking the court to handover Bhanu Kiran to them. The CID asked for 15 days custody.

It has to be mentioned here that Bhanu Kiran alias Bhanu was the close aide of faction leader late Suryanarayana Reddy alias and was arrested in connection with his murder case.

The police confirmed that Kiran was the main person behind the murder and said he eliminated Suri due to threat.

Bhanu’s arrest came in as a major breakthrough news as the CID have been searching for him ever since the case was transferred to them from Central Crime Station. There are several cases against Bhanu in Hyderabad and Vijayawada and was used to resort to settlements using Suri’s name.

When Bhanu was arrested and produced before the Magistrate on Sunday night, he was remanded to judicial custody and was put up in Cherlapalli prison. As expected by many analysts, the CID today asked court to give Bhanu into their custody. Meanwhile, the court deferred the hearing to Tuesday.

Bhanu will presumably reveal big hands involved in elimination, hatching the murder plan and important information in the CID enquiry. (Phani)
