The founder of Telangana Praja Front and ballad singer Gaddar came down heavily on the statements made by MLC Jupudi Prakash on erecting YSR statues beside the statues of the architect of the Indian Constitution. He also took on Jagan and sought apologies from him.
Gaddar has questioned as to how one can install Dr. Y S Rajashekara Reddy’s statues along with Dr. B R Ambedkar-who fought for social justice. Several people who were upset with the statements of Jupudi organized a debate programme over the same on Monday.
Gaddar has sought the explanation of Y S R Congress party president Y S Jagan on the statements made by Jupudi. The gathering passed a resolution banishing Jupudi from Mala Mahanadu. The meeting also demanded Jagan and Jupudi to tender apologies in public over these statements.
The dignitaries who have took on late YSR alleging that he misused crores of public money in the name of metro rail, jalayagnam and other schemes. It was unfair to compare YSR to Ambedkar, they added.
It is known that Congress MP from Amalapuram has already lashed out at YSR stating that he had proofs for proving YSR as anti-dalit and now the statues’ issue cropped up. All these issues will apparently cost YSR Congress party dearly in the by-polls. (Phani)
