November 22 turned out to be the wettest day in Phoenix.
According to the National Weather Service, Friday recorded the highest rainfall of the year, receiving 1.22 inches of rain last day. The last time when Phoenix received such a heavy rain lash was on Nov. 22,1973.
But the rain doesn't stop there. The NWS has predicted further heavy rainfall in the Valley in the coming days.
The Valley has been receiving rain since Thursday. Yuma broke a 129-year-old single-day mark with more than a third of an inch of a rainfall it received on that day.
Northern Arizona recorded snowfall on Friday.
With rain and snow battering the valley, it seems winter is here now with all its might.
