Two men were shot inside a Glendale Walmart, Glendale police said. Both were rushed into the hospitals, but neither sustained a life-threatening injury.
Walmart Corporate issued a statement saying the shooting "appears to be the escalation of a personal issue that had nothing to do with our store. We will provide law enforcement with any information they need as they look for those responsible."
Officers arrived on the store, near 95th Avenue and Camelback Road, around 11:15 a.m. Wednesday after receiving information that two people were injured.
According to the Glendale police spokesman, Sgt. Scott Waite, investigators were searching for two people who left the area either by car or on foot. The police believe that, the shooting was not random and the shooters and victims knew each other.
