Suspect in custody after claiming to have bomb in Black Canyon City

A man is held in custody by police after claiming to have an explosive device in Black Canyon City. Around 8.00 a.m Sunday Morning, authorities first received reports about an armed man walking in the area, later it was identified that the suspect was a 54 year old Scott Albert Wayne, wanted in California.
The Officials has said, A DPS has found Wayne around 2.p.m, trying to hide in a riverbed near Tara Rings and Ranch Roads. Yavapai Country deputies were called to the area and made an attempt to talk to the suspect, but Wayne has claimed that he was carrying an explosive device in his pocket.
In response to the threats, Wayne was moved to an open area and bomb squad was called to the scene, said a spokesperson of YCSO. Officials have confirmed that the explosive is safe.
Officials said, Wayne is accused of hiding a gun in riverbed, it’s believed that gun is likely connected to a domestic violence incident earlier that same day, in that incident the victim was OK.
The Daisy Mountain Fire department has extinguished a fire alarm brush first in the same area, officials said that these two incidents could be related to each other, but they didn’t provide any further information.
