On Thursday Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey has signed a plan to expand the use of electric vehicles with other State Governors. This agreement commits Arizona to meet with other states to develop standards for charging locations and also spacing, they are also planning to establish several charging stations across several western countries.
In this meeting, they are also going to discuss on establishing minimum standards and to expand electric use. The goal of this plan is to create an Intermountain West Electric Vehicle Corridor that allows drivers to cross member states. All major interstate highways are included in Arizona route. Other states that signed the plan include Idaho, Montana, Colorado, Nevada, Utah, Wyoming and New Mexico.
At this event, Governor said that new technologies are changing how we live every day and in Arizona, we want to welcome innovation with open arms, by working with other western countries we can establish this corridor and ensure that Arizona is on the forefront.
