A November 7 sentencing hearing has been scheduled for a Syrian man convicted in Arizona of conspiring to use a weapon of mass destruction and other charges.
Authorities say Ahmed Alahmedalabdaloklah made a key component in improvised explosive devices used in attacks against the United States soldiers during the Iraq War.
He was defendant of making circuit boards used to remotely explode the devices for the 1920 Revolution Brigades.
Prosecutors said the group claimed responsibility for attacks against American soldiers in Iraq from 2005 to 2010.
The trial was held in Phoenix as authorities say Alahmedalabdaloklah got elements for a wireless initiation system used in IEDs (Improvised Explosive Device) from a company headquartered in Arizona.
Alahmedalabdaloklah, six months ago found guilty of conspiring to use a weapon of mass destruction and other federal charges.
