Several samples for coronavirus in Arizona have been sent to CDC, says health officials

The first case of coronavirus has been confirmed within the ASU community in the Arizona state by the Center for Disease Control.
The updates regarding the people being affected or the individuals that are suspected to be affected by the deadly coronavirus disease are being made by the Center for Disease Control.
As per the reports from ABC15, several samples in addition to the already existing suspects have been sent to testing for the coronavirus to the Centre for Disease Control, says the reports.
The number of the samples that have been sent for testing cannot be figured out as the number would change based on the investigation of the health of the public, says a spokesperson for the Arizona Department of Health Services.
It is said that if any individual is suspected of being affected by the deadly coronavirus, the standard public protocol that would be taken is to isolate the suspect if they are not in a health care facility.
The reports of the Center for Disease Control says that the number of pending cases of the coronavirus across the United States is around 92. however, it has not been confirmed the number of tests among the 92 pending cases across the United States would be from Arizona.
The patient that has been affected by the coronavirus being the first case in Arizona is found out to be under 60 years of age and that they live outside university housing in Temp.
The infected person is said to have mild symptoms and that they have been self- isolating themselves by staying at home in order to avoid contact with other people as getting in contact would spread the virus.
It has been found that they have travelled from Wuhan which is a city in China and which is the epicenter for the deadly coronavirus. The patient is said to have no symptoms while travelling to Arizona.
The ABC15 has been told by the ASU that the health officials have said that the risk of the general public getting affected with the coronavirus is low.
The information of the person regarding the exposure to the classroom or where they have been on campus and for how long have not been disclosed by the university.
The spokesperson of the university has said in an email that the direction of the county and state health officials are being followed and the individuals who may have been exposed to the patient will be notified by the public health and a proper follow- up will be provided, as per the investigation of the public health.
The spokesperson of the university has added saying that the protocol of the university is not to release any personal identifying information of the individuals who are infected or exposed.
