Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi attacked PM Modi by accusing him of being more bothered about his clothes and presentation of his foreign visits rather than farmer’s plight or about poor in India.
Addressing an election rally in Sheikhpura of Bihar, which is nearly about 120 km from Patna, Rahul said, "When Modiji goes to America, you will see him changing clothes 16 times. He will wear one suit, then another, then yellow clothes, then green, then blue, then pink... Have you ever seen Nitishji in any other color than white?"
"When Modiji became Prime Minister, I called it a 'suit-boot ki sarkar'. After that, he never wore a suit," he added.
Attacking over Modi’s US visit pictures, Rahul alleged him about more interest in business matters rather than farmers. He said, "In the pictures, you will be able to see many people from America - someone from Facebook, someone from Instagram, someone from Google or someone from Youtube. But you will never be able to see the Indian farmer or the Indian worker or the Indian poor in those pictures.”
He questioned if any one saw his photos with labourers and farmers in torn clothes. And added that Modi never done it as he consider poor people as the ones without wisdom. He also criticized him for his promise on getting back black money besides depositing in the bank accounts of each and every individual.
The congress vice president was campaigning for 'Grand Alliance' or 'Maha Gatbandhan'. It comprises Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar's JD (U) and Lalu Prasad's RJD.
