From Ajay Devgn to Shah Rukh Khan, director Rohit Shetty has doled out blockbusters with some of the big stars in the industry. And buzz is that he is eying the Dabangg Khan for his next.
Shetty, who clubs with Karan Johar for his next biggie, has approached Salman Khan for his film.
Sources affirm that the KJo and Rohit Shetty met recently to discuss the cast for their film, and seems to have zeroed down on Sallu for their next.
A source revealed, "Though Karan Johar had signed Rohit a long time back, they were busy wrapping up their previous commitments. Rohit is now busy writing 'Singham 2' and he will also start working on the remake of the Tamil film 'Soodhu Kavvum', the rights of which he recently bought. Karan too is working on his next directorial and his TV commitments keep him busy. So the project with Salman will take time to roll".
The source added that though Salman has expressed interest in the project, he is yet to sign on the dotted line. "Salman will make the decision soon. He has just wrapped up Sohail's 'Jai Ho' and has moved on to Kick. As for Rohit's film, there will be several meetings in the future to discuss other aspects of the project," said the source.
Interestingly, Salman had recently complained Karan's for not casting him in any of his films in his talk show Koffee With Karan. We hope the small screen collaboration turns into a successful silver screen gig soon.
