Mostly appeared in romantic or comic roles during the career, Juhi Chawla says that she would love to play more and more characters with negative shades in case they are fantastic and edgier.

The actress wants to play villains, who played Sumitra Devi, a character with grey shade, in 2014 in Gulaab Gang. With this role, Juhi Chawla broke her bubbly and positive image in Bollywood.

Juhi Chawla said, “I would love to do more negative roles. I am open to doing something unusual again but I am spoiled after the experience of Gulaab Gang. The next negative character has to be something fantastic and edgier than Sumitra Devi.”

Juhi made her mark as a romantic or comic heroin during her career in movies like Hum Hain Rahi Pyaar Ke, Darr, Bhootnath, Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak, Ishq, Radha Bol and more. The negative character is a definite change.

The crime drama, Gulaab Gang released in March 2014, gave Juhi a chance to feature with Madhuri Dixit, her contemporary.

Juhi said that she was initially bit apprehensive about working with Madhuri."But before we started shooting, Soumik Sen called Madhuri and me to his office. We sat and chatted for a couple of hours and for me, that really broke the ice. I told her that it's really a good script and with us cast together for the first time, this film should go places,” Juhi said.
