Actor Ranveer Singh says he is nervous about people's reactions to his portrayal in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Bajirao Mastani as Maratha warrior Peshwa Bajirao. Ranveer plays the protagonist in the film. Interestingly, Bajirao Mastani will clash with Dilwale, which is Shah Rukh Khan’s much awaited film. And thus, the 30-year old actor is nervous about peoples’ acceptance and reaction to his characted and the movie.

Ranveer told reporters that, “There is nervousness that how people will react on seeing ’Bajirao’ Sanjay Leela Bhansali is working on this film for 12-15 years. Lot of hard work, blood, sweat has gone into it. We all have collectively worked on this film, so nervousness is about how people would react.”

“We are trying to give people something memorable... Something that would people would cherish. We are nervous about how people will react to the film,” he added.

The role played by Ranveer is of Peshwa (Prime Minister) Bajirao of the Maratha Empire. Last evening, Ranveer was speaking at the poster launch of Bajirao Mastani in his upcoming film. The movie is scheduled to release on 18 December 2015. The story of Bajirao is narrated by Bajirao Mastani. Deepika played his second wife Mastani while Priyanka Chopra plays Kashibai, Bajirao’s first wife.
