Bollywood movie Udta Punjab received stupendous response for the released trailer and this created enough hype for the film as it dealt with drugs abuse. Directed by Abhishek Chaubey, Udta Punjab features Shahid Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Alia Bhatt and Diljit Dosanjh in the lead roles. The movie has been slated for release on June 17th after which the makers had a clash with the members of the censor board.

Udta Punjab has been slammed by the censor board and the makers took on it as the film has been suggested 89 cuts which is shocking. Udta Punajb has almost been postponed to July and indeed, this created a huge stir among the filmmakers Balaji Motion Pictures and Phantom Films. The makers approached the High Court after which the film has been cleared with 13 cuts for which the makers have been comfortable to go through.

Now the censor board revealed officially that the film has been passed with 13 cuts and it has been awarded A certificate. Sources revealed that Udta Punjab will hit the screens as scheduled on June 17th across the globe.
