According to a recent newsletter from Bloomberg's Mark Garman, Apple will soon release a redesigned email app for iPad and Mac. iOS 18 and Apple Intelligence, the company's artificial intelligence (AI) suite, were debuted and previewed at the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) 2024. At the time, Apple announced that the Mail app would utilize artificial intelligence features, including the ability to automatically categorize emails by priority and email type. The redesigned Mail app came to iPhone with the iOS 18.1 update in October, which also added an initial set of Apple Intelligence features. Additional additions were also made for iPad and Mac, but the company's email apps for those devices did not receive a similar upgrade. But that may not be the case for much longer.
In the latest issue of the Power On newsletter, Bloomberg's Mark Garman emphasized that the macOS 15.4 update will bring Apple's intelligence to the Mail app for Mac. In a subsequent post on X (formerly Twitter), the journalist added that new features will also be added to the iPad after the iPadOS 18.4 update. It is speculated to launch in April alongside iOS 18.4 and macOS 15.4. The same program for iPhone offers a feature called Smart Reply. After analyzing the content, it generates email replies and helps users respond to emails quickly. Then there's Priority Messages, which shows the most urgent emails at the top of your inbox.
