Eminent Bollywood Choreographer Saroj Khan was admitted to Guru Nanak Hospital in Mumbai due to breathlessness on Saturday. “She is doing better now” says filmmaker Kunal Kohli.  

The 71-year-old veteran choreographer and National Award winner Saroj Khan has been hospitalized last week after she complained about her breathing issue. While social media went haywire to confirm her stable health, a family member told media that she tested negative for Coronavirus. The news comes as a relief to netizens.

“She was admitted to Guru Nanak Hospital in Bandra East, Mumbai for breathing issues. She is doing well now and will be discharged in a day or two. She doesn’t have COVID-19 symptoms. Her report has come out negative”, said a close relative of Saroj Khan.

Director Kunal Kohli took to twitter to inform her fans about her health. He said he spoke to her son Raju Khan and has assured the fans that she is recovering. He has also thanked everyone for their prayers and wishes for the renowned choreographer.

Well-known director Anubhav Sinha too took to twitter to update her health condition to her fans. He tweeted saying there is nothing to worry about as it is just a regular treatment.

Just spoke to people looking after Saroj Ji. She is in fact in hospital. But doing well. Should be out in a day or two. Nothing to worry. Was there for regular treatment. Felt weak, got admitted. Tested Covid too. Negative. #SarojKhan

Saroj Khan is well known for her work in Jab We Met and Devdas. She has 3 National Awards in her pocket and has choreographed some of the most popular songs of Bollywood like EK Do Teen from Tezaab featuring Madhuri Dixit, Ye Ishq Haaye from Jab We Met featuring Kareena Kapoor, Dola Re Dola from Devdas featuring Aishwarya Rai and Madhuri Dixit.

The last song she has choreographed was Tabah Hogaye from Karan Johar’s film Kalank featuring Madhuri Dixit. Saroj Khan has a close friendly relationship with Madhuri Dixit.

While it has been pleasant news for her fans and well wishers to hear about her recovery, meanwhile, fans of her have trended #Saroj Khan for a while earlier today on Twitter hoping they won’t hear any bad news again.
